Why you should consider preserving moist hay
The ability to produce high-quality hay heavily depends on the weather. Unfortunately, the weather has changed in recent years and longer spells of fair weather have become rarer.
At the same time, the average sugar content in pasture has increased, making drying yet more difficult. Achieving an even drying level of the necessary DM contents of over 85% for the crop has become a game of luck in many places.
Luckily, preserving (moist) hay has established itself as a process enabling producers to make even moister hay of 75% DM or more fit for storage.
For dosing commonly available preservatives, SILASPRAY® offers the right dosing technology, which you can easily mount on round or square bale presses.

High-performance dosing dispenser for applying chemical silage additives (neutral salt solutions), water-based biological silaging agents or propionic acid, formic acid and their preparations.
